Hi Lillie,

Welcome to the GeekstoGo forums, I am going to take a look at that HJT Log for ya and be back with my recommendations so you hang in there while we check this out for ya! BTW, if your using Port 6667 for any of your Chat or P2P programs like Music or anything change the port for now as its an open port of attack and Ill see you soon!

Hi Lillie,

First, we need to remove the pepper trojan. Download this file, run, and let terminate (it'll just blink briefly on your screen and won't appeared to have done much--this is normal):
http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=18

When your finished lets clean up a bit with a few scans, how about getting Adaware and Spybot S+D also, then run both of those tools and make the neccessary changes. You can get all these downloads thru the link in my signature.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Ok, then if were all done with the HJT Fixes, reboot into safe mode by restarting and continually tap the F8 key while your system is booting up, select Safe Mode from the menu. Lets then select "View All Files" and Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default,

Double-click "My Computer".
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Ok, now lets get you to manually remove these folders, delete the ENTIRE folders!

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsxsvc
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmss
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp2fw.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\YdagAs.exe
C:\Program Files\eSyndicate
C:\WINDOWS\System32\OhvTT.exe

to clean up some more lets dump the Temp Files, heres a program that will clean them all and things like histories to the last opened websites and Programs
Temp File Cleaner

Koretek,
I think that has fixed it. :tazz:
I will let you know if I have any other issues. As for now it appears to be running well with no malicious popups. Thanks a bunch ;)
