My old board is dead (ASUS P5S VM) in my HP Pavilion 4533 minitower, I want to replace this old board with a new one with a PIII or PIV board and processor BUT I don't know what will fit in my case....i have been told that my board is a MicroATX form factor board. I also have noticed that the pheriphial in/out plugs for the back don't match the setup of the one I have now, is there a compatibility issue with the back setup? Please help! thanks!

Your HP very likely has a proprietary layout. ATX cases also have a replaceable backplate, but your HP's does not. This means that if you want to replace the motherboard, you'll have to get out the Dremel tool and cut out the back to fit a standard backplate, or purchase a new case. <_<
