Well I bought a laptop in September of this year. Everything is going fine till tonight. I shut it down for supper and after supper booted her back up (low battery, didn't feel like getting the power cord before I ate). What do you know, it won't boot up. Safe mode, windows disc, nothing. Windows repair does nothing, it just goes in a loop asking me what to do (the one with the 3 safe modes, last known good config and normally..all don't work). Finally I came to the conclusion that I have lost all my homework and files and try to reinstall, well it says "Partition [Unknown]" and won't do anything. We can get it to the command prompt, but when at "C:" we go "dir" to see what is there. It says something along the lines of "files cannot be enumareted" (could be wrong on the spelling grammer). My lappy is under warranty and I figure that is the best thing I can do right now, but is there anychance I can save any of my files?

What happens when you load the CD and set up starts

Did you get as far as pressing D to delete the partition, then L to confirm

Did it show, R to repair and esc to install without repairing
