Hey guys, having some problems with my sony vaio desk top here.

First thing is theres no sound when DVD's are being played on it, understandly this is very annoying, iv checked the audio cable and in installed the right drivers but...with no luck.

Secondly, i installed the drivers for the card reader from sony's website, but the card reader wont read anything from any card put in it, instead it merely crashes explorer.

Im outa ideas, i tried drivers, windows and connections but nothings fixing it, any suggestions?
Thanks
Dave

Hi. Do you have sound for other applications, like normal system sounds, playing audio cd's etc? What player are you using for playing dvds? Concerning the card reader, when you look at the device in device manager, does it have a yellow ! ? If it does, then it needs a driver.
