Query on saving photos to CD

Hi there
Can someone help pls
I have just saved my photos to CD (don't have DVD yet)... and when I checked the files on the cd it had also created a 'thumbs' with the description database file...Hidden system file... and it's huge...193kb...

this has happened before.. what is it? and why does it happen? can it stop?

how are you burning the images to the cd? are you burming the whole folder?

Open my documents, click tools, folder options, view, tick do not cache thumbnails, click apply

This will stop it but you will need to look for thumbs and delete it from existing folders

There may be more than one thumbs within a folder

Supposed to make searching faster

Possibly only worthwhile for large numbers of images
