The usage of the wininet.dll is making it so I can't install the SP1a

Can I use the windows disk somehow to get rid of the thing I can't install sp1a because it says the wininet.dll is running... I have ran all the required spywares listed plus I have microsof anti spyware running... Im lost right now I downloaded the ms wininet debugger and don't know how to use it Im at my wits end because nothing is working... When I got my machine upgraded to XP it appears they resold a copy of the disk and now microsoft won't allow me any downloads is there another way of getting sp1a that doesnt required microsoft interaction??? I really could use ome help...

If they resold a windows cd with the same key, you can go over there and tell them, if you can prove they did that they will probably give you a new one.

If you suspect they dishonestly acquired the cd you can also tell Microsoft Here.

Even though you may not have known this was not a legitimate copy, my hands are tied.

If you legally acquire a new copy of windows, I can show you how to graft it onto this one so I can continue helping you.
