I try to install Sp2 for windows XP Pro and keep getting a message after some time saying that the product key may not be valid and that i should go to "how to tell" .com to see if my program is legal!
how do I get around this problem? I have the downloaded setup wizard for the Sp2. HELP!! :tazz:

First off, do you have a legitimate copy of Windows XP pro? If you do, and the site mentioned is not a Microsoft site, this sounds suspiously like some sort of adware/malware.

PS: I checked the link www.howtotell.com and it directs you to the Microsoft site for checking the legitimacy of your Windows version. If you know that your copy is legit, all you need to do is to get it verified at the Microsft page to be able to download updates for your machine.
