One of my users is having an odd issue..
We have all of the remote users set up to use offline files for their
my documents folder. [Each user's folder is redirected to a private
folder on one of our servers. The "my documents" folder is also enabled
for offline files so as to have the synchronization feature available.
Our users connect to the network to perform various functions(including
sync of that folder) using client vpn software.]

When one of my users docked his IBM Thinkpad to a port replicator 2 and
then undocked the thinkpad, and restarted it, his "my documents"
reverted back to the old location(c:\documents and settings\....the
usual).

Does anyone know why this is happening? I have a suspicion that the
dock causes some sort of roaming(profile) mode to kick out.. any help
is appreciated
