I use windows ME, and we have fixed a trojan using ur support in the past, it worked, but took a long time, and don't want to go through that hassle again, and not many files on this computer r of any worth, so we just want to do the Windows Clean Boot, starting completely over with the bare basics, and our help feature won't load, probably because of the virus (it worked before), Mcaffee freezes when we try to install it, wvee used many fo the programs that fixed the other virus (PS Gaurd), and are done, could you please tell me ho to just do the system wipe?

Thanks

Google up a windows ME boot disk and put it on a floppy disk
Reboot
Choose help
press alt-F and then x to close help file.
At the dos prompt type vol C: and write down the volume label....It's ok if it doesn't have one..
Then type format C: .....and press enter.
choose y for yes
when it gets done and asks for a volume label enter it and press enter (if you don't have a volume label, just press enter.

Fully formatted hard disk..........
