I'm sure you guys get tons of these so your expert opinion is most definitely desired! Okay, so I'm a gamer looking to upgrade my old system...here is what I currently have.

AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 1533 mHz (11.5 x 133)
ABIT KX7-333® (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 4 DDR DIMM)
VIA VT8367 Apollo KT333
512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4600 (128MB)
NEC Multisync FE700 17 Inch CRT Monitor
Creative SB PCI128 Sound Card
WDC WD800JB 74 Gigabytes
ATAPI CD-RW 52X X 32X

This computer is a couple years old as you can see and is in need of an overhaul. I've been saving up some cash and am looking to spend just about $2,000 on building the "dream machine." A couple basic questions:

1. Are the 512 MB Video Cards out there today worth the investment than the 256 MBers?
2. The Trade off: Which pieces of equipment should I invest the most into?

THANKS SO MUCH!!! :tazz:
