Hi,
Hope somebody can help me out here. I had a Trojanelitebar that I got rid of last night (thanks to your "try this first" page) but now when I run the defragment program I have several files that won't move. The red (fragmented files) area is bigger than it has ever been!
I also have a HJT if you need it.

Below is part of what the Defragment report is saying. Is it safe to post the detailed report?

Volume MINIVM10172 (C:)
Volume size = 37.26 GB
Cluster size = 32 KB
Used space = 11.26 GB
Free space = 26.00 GB
Percent free space = 69 %

Volume fragmentation
Total fragmentation = 23 %
File fragmentation = 47 %
Free space fragmentation = 0 %

File fragmentation
Total files = 47,195
Average file size = 214 KB
Total fragmented files = 2,235
Total excess fragments = 6,907
Average fragments per file = 1.14

Pagefile fragmentation
Pagefile size = 527 MB
Total fragments = 3

Folder fragmentation
Total folders = 3,063
Fragmented folders = 22
Excess folder fragments = 41

Please go here:

Malware Removal Guide

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

For the purpose of accurate malware analysis, Hijack This Logs are only dealt with in the Malware Forum. Posting them anywhere else will result in a delayed response

If you are unable to run any of the programmes, ask for advice in the Malware Forum

I posted over there and included my HJT log and no one is answering my question.
Doesn't anyone know how to get files to defrag?

Get the trial of Tune Up 2006 here

Tune Up 2006 Trial

Run disc clean up then registry clean up then click optimize to run reg defrag, which needs a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to optimize the computer, select computer with an internet connection from the drop down menu, this also requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to accelerate downloads, select the speed just above your actual connection speed, this requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to run system advisor

Try XP defragmenter now

Thank you for replying. I did everything you said but still no defrag from XP. Also, it sits forever at 1% saying that it is compressing files before finally trying to defrag.
Here is the 2nd report:

Volume MINIVM10172 (C:)
Volume size = 37.26 GB
Cluster size = 32 KB
Used space = 11.28 GB
Free space = 25.98 GB
Percent free space = 69 %

Volume fragmentation
Total fragmentation = 16 %
File fragmentation = 32 %
Free space fragmentation = 0 %

File fragmentation
Total files = 47,844
Average file size = 211 KB
Total fragmented files = 339
Total excess fragments = 2,334
Average fragments per file = 1.04

Pagefile fragmentation
Pagefile size = 527 MB
Total fragments = 3

Folder fragmentation
Total folders = 3,078
Fragmented folders = 23
Excess folder fragments = 42

I just got back in town and downloaded the program; when I click on either the "Analyze" button or icon - for this program, nothing happens. Tried rebooting and downloading the program a second time but still no change.
Ran XP defrag again (for the [bleep] of it) and still no luck - lots and lots of RED lines.

Put links to both the Malware and XP postings on the 3 day site.
Thanks for your help, hopefully I'll get this resolved.
