i need to re-install me. is there any way that i can re-install it or find it on my harddrive without having to go buy another?

If I can sneak in here, in WinME the setup files are almost always saved in a folder C:\windows\options\install or cabs, sometimes install is in the C: directory. If you can get in in ms-dos mode you can run setup, you can find your product key this way

find /n "ProductKey" C:\windows\system.dat

at least that works for '98, something similar should work for ME.
