MY Computer has slowed waaaaay down!

i just got done builing this computer aobut 3 weeks ago, and it shouldbe opening programs this slow, it is a AMD FX-55, 2gb PC3200 RAM, and a 6800 ultra AGP, and wheni try to open up a simple program such as mozilla or team speak, it takes a long time ot load, i have already taken care of the hijack this, and it is fine, i have scanned with norten anti virus, and AVG, but all nortan does is say no virus, but it doeas say there is is spy/ad ware that is there, i tell it to get rid of it and it says it can't, any help please? casue i don't think that is the cause of the slow down

shoot, forot soemthing, it didn't allways open programs this slow, i am sick of it and are getting ready to do a wipe of the drive and reinstlal windows, i wanted to install XP Pro anyways
