The computer with Windows 2000 Server doesn't have its "server capabilites enabled", i mean. It was installed just to check it out.
Few months ago the network was working fine using workgroup then i had to format the computer with Win XP Pro and since then it doesn't work.

At first i did try to configure the lan connecting both computers from NIC to NIC, then using the switch. No luck in both cases.

Anyway, i will try uninstalling my TCP/IP stack as SpaceCowBoy706 said and then post back the results.

Finally the problem is solved!!!!.

Fortunately i didn't have to reinstall Windows. Anyway here are the steps i did to make it work.

First i uninstalled ZoneAlarm Pro just to figure out if that was the problem. The problem persisted so no.
Then i tried reseting the tcp/ip stack. (this was the source of the problem).
Before doing that i disabled all non microsoft services and all startup applications. Rebooted. Then i did the tcp/ip stack reseting. Rebooted once more and then i could see both computers in the workgroup and access them!!!.

Thanks SpaceCowboy706 for your help!!!. :tazz:
