I recently got Windows XP and I upgraded my mouse driver through windows update. It's a Kinsington Orbit USB mouse and for some reason it uses the Snap To feature all the time, dispite the fact that I have that feature unchecked in the mouse properties.

I've tried uninstalling the diver and reinstalling it but it still continues to Snap To dialoge boxes.

Does anyone know how to solve this annoying problem?

If you have the software for the mouse, uninstall the drivers, run disc clean up, click start then run, type prefetch, press enter, press edit, select all, right click any file, click delete, confirm delete, click start, right click my computer, properties, hardware, device manager, click + next to mouse, click mouse, right click, click delete, confirm and reboot

Thanks. It installed the original driver after the reboot and now it dosen't Snap To anymore unless I check the option. I've hidden the WinXP update so it wont bother me about updating the driver.

Thanks again.
