I seem to have this toolbar that keeps being changed to these random names like www.zgddhgd.com or something.

I'm not sure what's wrong with my system I'm sure there's a root to some spyware that spybot, and adaware 0.6, SE aren't getting.

So here is my hijack this log-

Welcome to GTG SaveMeCyn. While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.
  • Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
  • In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
  • Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
  • Expand the "Tools" menu.
  • Click "Resident".
  • Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
  • In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.
Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://prdnbdiewacg....qwqkce4ftnZ.htm
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapp...://my.yahoo.com

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Enc Does] C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\APPLIC~1\INFOIN~1\Gram Open.exe

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ADMINI... (your user name)\APPLICATION DATA\OPTION... <- this folder (name abbrveviated)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\lite peak dent defy <- this folder
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ADMINI... (your user name)\APPLICATION DATA\INFOIN... <- this folder (name abbrveviated)

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. :tazz:

Whoosie! I just noticed that the strange toolbar thingy was still there. I realized it's probably because the name keeps getting changed to avoid it from getting deleted. Now that the files that were onthe computer that were changing it are gone I've runs hijack this again and deleted it again. This time it looks like it's gone for good

So again, here's the updated log-

Great job! Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)

Thank you so much! ;) hehe

I've downloaded SpywareBlaster and set it up.

I already have netscape (which also istalled Sun Java) which I use more often than IE, however there are some faults with the program where I can't download certain windows media player files or pages won't load correctly, so in those cases I need to use IE. :tazz:

Perhaps I'll try firefox and see if that's a good alternative to IE.
