I tried to follow other directions on what to check and "Fix" but I dont have the 4 files. I must not understand how to clean the "winfix 2005" off of my computer. Please help, I have advanced beginner skills on my PC, so if you can be as specific as possible, I would appreciate it!

Before we do anything we need to move HijackThis to it's own, permanent folder. eg c:\My documents\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe or C:\HijackStuff\HijackThis.exe. You are running it from my documents so just open My Documents>Rt. Click>New>Folder>choose name> Move the HijackThis.exe into this folder.

Next you will want to print out this post or save a copy as a text file in Notepad so that you have a hard copy of these instructions; you can not have IE/Firefox/any browser open during the fix

Please download VundoFix© to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
  • This will create a VundoFix© folder on your desktop.
  • After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix© folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
  • You will first be presented with a warning.
    It should look like this

    VundoFix V2.15 by Atri
By using VundoFix you agree that you are doing so at your own risk
    Press enter to continue....

  • At this point press enter one time.
  • Next you will see:

Please Type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff
    and then press enter:

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcay.dll
  • Press Enter to continue with the fix.
  • Next you will see:

Please type in the second filepath as instructed by the forum
    staff then press enter:

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):C:\WINDOWS\system32\yacdd.*
  • Press Enter to continue with the fix.
  • The fix will run then HijackThis will open, if it does not open automatically please open it manually.
  • In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:
    • O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {79A576C4-B7A9-47EC-B57C-2CE5CA6ECC6A} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcay.dll
    • O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NI.UWFX5_0001_N56M0311] "C:\Documents and Settings\Melissa\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ZXVZF4KX\WinFixerScannerInstall[1].exe" -nag
    • O16 - DPF: {70522FA2-4656-11D5-B0E9-0050DAC24E8F} - http://cc.iwon.com/c..._12_1,0,2,5.exe
    • O20 - Winlogon Notify: ddcay - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcay.dll
    • O16 - DPF: {70522FA2-4656-11D5-B0E9-0050DAC24E8F} - http://cc.iwon.com/c..._12_1,0,2,5.exe
      -Aornum
    • O16 - DPF: {A7798D6C-C6B5-4F26-9363-F7CDBBFFA607} - http://www.gamedaily...eeddelivery.dll

  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis.
  • Press enter to exit the program then manually reboot your computer.
  • Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.
Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.
