Does he have a limited/no connectivity icon by the clock in the systray? It will be a yellow triangle with a question mark inside of it.

Fenor

No.

He says it says 960 bytes recieved but nothing sent, a small number for DSL.

Only thing I can think of for him to try yet is to uninstall the software that came with his DSL, reboot when after it's complete. Then once his computer is booted back up, have him reboot it again to make sure he's on a fresh boot with no uninstall procedures running at boot. Then have him run the ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and then ipconfig and say what it says.

Fenor,
I will have him do that and I will post results here tomorrow evening. It is late and I am tired. Thank you so much for all your help!

No problem, that's why i'm here! :tazz:

See you tomorrow night!

If he still doesn't get any information when doing what I stated in my last post, have him re-install the DSL software and see how things go.
