Hello All,

I hope someone can help me out here, I'm pretty much at my wits' end. I'm trying to connect my Thinkpad to a router at my Residence Hall in Netherlands (where the rooms don't each have their own connections...) I had been having some problems before with receiving packets and connecting and had gotten nowhere, it seems no matter how i tried.

Today I decided to give it another shot, and after all this time trying to make it receive packets, it decided to do it automatically.

It is recieving a "DHCP-assigned" IP address, subnet mask and default gateway, and all looks well, but the internet still doesn't come through any browser or application (such as AIM etc).

I tried IPCONFIG and it seems to be connected. I've run the wizard, i've messed with some settings --- all the stuff i'd tried before. this time though, it seems so close yet so far.

if anyone can help it would be appreciated, given that this is my only mode of contact to my home in the US. THANKS!
