I keep getting "error detected" pop-ups and winfixer is listed in the address bar. I also get "security update alerts" and directing me to choose a Win Virus 2005 program fix?

Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Thanks for the reply> I am trying to start in safe mode but my computer just freezes at the safe mode black screen. It just says safe mode in all 4 corners. Please advise.

I just created more problems for myself.... I ran msconfig aand checked off thebox for boot in safe mode to see if that would work. Now I can't boot at all out of the balck safe mode screen! I have tried starting in normal mode to no avail. please help! Thanks!

I was able to reboot in normal mode by going to task manager and rerunning msconfig(lucky I guess). I still get frozen in safe mode. Can I run the fix through normal mode? Is there a way to correct my "frozen" safe mode? Thanks!

I have to boot in safe mode with a command prompt. Once there, I am given two log in options, one of which is the administrator. Once I log in with the password I get the following:
