I was able to get rid of the annoying popup after Movieland agreed I did not owe them. First I did a search on my c drive for AltPayment*.* and deleted all files(there were several). For some of them I had to boot up in safe mode so the files were not in use. Next I went into regedit and using the find function deleted all lines containing AltPayment. At this point the popups stopped. Being worried about it being able to resurrect itself I then decided to get rid of MediaPipe. I did a search for MediaPipe*.* on my c drive and found in a subdirectory an uninstall program that actually worked and was able to delete the MediaPipe subdirectory and all the files. I then went back into regedit and deleted all lines containing MediaPipe. So far no more popups and my machine still boots and runs without any apparent problems from my deletions.

Hello, DaveTheGolfer.

Let's make sure there isn't any other malware in there. :tazz:

Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here . Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files\ as the destination. HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident

Run HijackThis

Click SCAN and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')

POST the log into this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')
