[Nutrichick]

My daughter downloaded Messenger Plus at the www.msgplus.net website. It has installed two search bars, and several "icons" (which really aren't icons) on my desktop. Adware pops up constantly, and this has taken over my computer. I am posting my Hijack This log, and my Ewido report. PLEASE HELP!!!

* Save it to the desktop.
* Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
* You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet, just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
* Once you receive the prompt "All Done!", double-click on the new text file on the desktop and copy that entire log and paste it here.

Go ahead and make the fixes with HJT and delete the folder I said to,
Please run a scan with active as well please at the end of the active scan it will give you the option to save the log please post it back here with a fresh HJT log, Silent runners log and Active scan log please

Hi. Active Scan will not run on my computer. It gets to the file: C:\WINDOWS\System 32\ntdll.dll and it hangs. It is at 100% CPU usage and I have to close it down manually. I am running Ewido security suite, and TrojanHunter Guard & AVG. Are these interfering?

After Running HijackThis and fixing the two items you listed, I rebooted in SAFE Mode, and I was unable to find the file:

I also searched on "Logosoftstupidhide" and was unable to find anything.

The nasty toolbars are gone from my screen. Am I free of spyware yet?

Keep AD-Aware. and Spybot 1.3 handy, Check them for updates prior to running and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

For an added check run an online virus scan, you can use one of the 2 below,

ActiveScan

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.

Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.

Press OK to remove them.

Hi Don! We're not done so fast! The same sweet adorable daughter logged on to the computer after my last post, and the junk previously installed had reset her home page to www.msgplus.net . The same toolbar is still installed on her desktop,although not on the rest of the computer. She clicked on the Search Toolbar this horrible site had installed in an attempt to get it to go away, and I don't know if that caused it to reinstall anything or not. But we can not get rid of it on her desktop. I went to her desktop on Windows XP, and ran HijackThis, and will post the log below.

Also, Uberbutton appears to be connected to yahoo messenger. Here is where it is in HijackThis:

I will sheepishly admit that we had never put any kind of protective software like AVG or Ewido, but I did faithfully run Spybot S&D and Adaware. Live and learn. Let me know if you see anything bad in this HJT log so I can get rid of this mess once and for all.

It's messenger plus !
Go to Add/Remove programs and click on Messengerplus
when you click uninstall it will give you 2 options
1 - will be to remove the sponser
2 - will be to remove the messenger plus program

Choose to uninstall the sponser programs and follow the promts, It will ask you to enter a code do that let it do its thing, Reboot your computer when it has finished
Open back Internet Explorer and it should be back to normal,
