i am trying to install xp on my pc but it keeps telling me that the product key that i have entered is invalid.
Can anyone help me with this problem??? :tazz:

GOT IT FROM COMPUTER STORE ON THE HIGH STREET DONT KNOW Y IT WILL NOT INSTALL

Okay.. I assume you received the required licence and COA with the XP cd??

If so, is this a retail cd or does it say something like "Dell Recovery cd" on it or it is a plain old original Microsoft cd??

BTW.. Typing in CAPS is considered yelling and that won't buy you any favors!! :tazz:

yeah i have the liecene and the aoc, every time i type it in it tells me that it is invalid. Does all the letters hav to be typed in capital letters??

You missed a part here..

It shouldn't make a difference but it may.. Try putting all the letters in CAPS and see what happens..

An XP Home key won't work in an XP Pro installation and vice-versa.
