I now have some kind of adware or spyware or virus i believe to be called spyaxe on my pc. I have deleted it many times but it still reoccurs. The biggest problem i have is that i am very computer illiterate and dont have a clue of what to do next. This spyware reoccurs and sends me to the spy axe website. I have a icon on my taskbar , I believe telling me that i have a virus. I use norton antivirus and bps spyware remover. Neither work to rid me of this demon. I tried to quarantine the spyware item named Zlob.D but im sure its not working. I believe it to be located on C:\WINDOWS\system 32\MSSEARCHNET........The name bps gives me is C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSSEAR`1.EXE................Help.dont know what to do

Hi bwmrow...Welcome to G2G!

Let's let the malware experts deal with this one.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the Start Here.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
