Coachwife6,

I am running outlook. I also followed you instructions for the deldomains program and also the adaware patch. The adaware patch said the system is clean. The machine is running a lot better, but my home page is getting hijacked to Google. I just tried to remove my google tool bar, but add/remove programs keeps freezing up.
Is is possible that some of this spyware could have corrupted my outlook personal folders????

Here is my new log.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help. I don't know where else to turn to.

Coachwife6,

I did as you ask, and the browser wan not hijacked this time, but still no luck on opening my outlook personal folders. Outlook is operating with the new folders I created, but I can't open my old ones. It keeps telling me to run the inbox repair tool. I did that about 10 times yesterday to no avail. Any suggestions.

Here is my new log.

Do you have all your files showing? Have you tried a search of one the obscure words in your personal folders?

To the best of my knowledge, I have everything showing. How do I search for an obscure word in an inbox folder??? Again, I apologize for my ignorance. I know just enough about this computer to be dangerous.

Thanks again!!

Go to start>>search>>>plug in a word that might be in the folder but not elsewhere on your computer, such as elephant.

To make sure all folders are showing....

Read this: view hidden files

Coachwife6,

I made sure that all the folders are showing and none are hidden. I did a search for a password I know I was keeping in an outlook folder I called passwords. I searched for the password and also the word "passwords" and the search returned nothing. Any suggestions?

You can go back in system restore and set an earlier restore point. They might be there. But you might get all your junk back again. I really don't have anyother suggestions. Someone else may.

Coachwife6,

When I try to open the personal folder inside of outlook, I get an error. It reads;

Unable to display the folder. Errors have been detected on the file C:\documents and settings\ bob dunlap\ local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst.

I don't know if this helps you our not??
