MSN crashes

Hi,
I have this really annoing problem. The MSN-Messenger crashes right after signing in. It doesn't do it every time, but still way too often. On some days I can't get online at all. After it has crashed only Ctrl+Alt+Delete gets rid of the window. The menu says that the program is not responding. Restarting the program doesn't seem to help nor does restarting the computer. Have you got any suggestions what I should do to get MSN work properly?
