This is my first post on the geeks to go.. though I must tell you guys that you have always been helpful even before this as I used to follow ur instructions that are similar looking and it worked so well till now...
I have a new laptoop inspiron 600m which I bought last month... While using it I realised that its always using 100% cpu and the fan keeps on running so to check what was happening I stopped NAV.. while searching the net for other possible cause and it was this time that I first encountered winfixer add popup. Since then whenevr I start explorer for the first time it gives me a winfixer add popupp and has to be closed everytime.. I have ran several scans.. thru NAV, STINGER, Microsoft antispyware, spybot, and sevral other online scans... but everything says system is clean
yesterday I downloaded ewido also as per ur instructions which prompts an alarm everytime i start ex[lorer that it has found eroor in c;\system32\xxwwv.dll type vitrumonde... it says that it has cleaned it but it is never cleaned which u can see from Hijack this log file... even hijack this software hasnt fixed it while trying to clean using its technique...though ewido has done one thingthat the popupp widow is not able to display anything and a blank exporer file with "Error found - microsoft internet explorer" as topic and "http://www.winfixer....ed=2&ex=1&ax=1" as the browser adress opens up.. but no content can be seen
