I'm having some serious problems with my machines. I work at a local school so we have multiple Ids and multiple networked printers. The problem is that our printers are removing themselves. All of our machines are XP pro, I've turned off system restore, and I can't see to find anything that would be wiping the printers. We are using the same linux server that we've had for a few years and nothing has changed on it. Some of the machines that have problems are new dells that we bought this summer. Some machines completely wipe the printers. Others just chance them from default printer. Once it's changed from default the only way to change it back it to completely wipe the printer and reinstall. This only happens on our networked printers. The machine that we use as the print server in each room always retains the settings because it is physically attached to the printer. It started out happening in just a few rooms and now it's starting to spread to the entire school. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
