i am having problems with my internet explorer 6. i was chatting one day and since then everytime i try to click on links or sometimes when i open the browser, it automatically sends me to some webcam page or to some other nudy page. i never set any of these pages as default or homepages, but it does that. sometimes when i start IE it goes straight to yahoo, my homepage i set. sometimes it goes to these sites....

http://apps7.ifriend...omnavigator.wsa
<a href='http://terra.es/personal6/thechosen16/sexcam4.html' target='_blank'>http://terra.es/personal6/thechosen16/sexcam4.html</a>
http://asexvideo.com/ifriends/join.php
there are more, but i get too many browsers opening at once
(dont click on them, just on case)

and it also tries to download a plugin(i say no)

and it also tries to download from 64.18.164.155 a livecam.exe application, which i also cancel.

this is getting really frustrating as i am fairly new to computers, and i was wondering if anyone could help me to stop this problem. i personally thank you in advance.
my email is 'email removed'
thank you

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

I have removed your email from the post because of spammers. The have bots that go through forums, including this one, looking for email addresses. If they find one, they'll be handing out a bunch of unwanted spam.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Media Plug x.1.2] C:\WINDOWS\MSDM.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [windowview] C:\PROGRA~1\WEBGRE~1\Team load.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Media Plug x.1.2] C:\WINDOWS\MSDM.EXE
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MoneyAgent] "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money\System\Money Express.exe"

If you do not Yahoo starting with Windows do the same with:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\ypager.exe -quiet

If you do not Microsoft Office starting with Windows:
O4 - Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

The Microsoft Works calender reminder, fix this if you don't use it:
O4 - Startup: Microsoft Works Calendar Reminders.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\wkcalrem.exe

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log.

Welcome username :D

Nothing that Nathan recommended that you fix should have disabled your AOL conenction, perhaps you inadvertantly removed something else, or it was just a coincidence. <_<

The good news is your log is clear :D. How's your computer working? Are your problems gone?

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster. It's free, will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. It also places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will impair attempts to infect your system. More info and download is available at:
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacools...areblaster.html
