Remove these ones with Hijack This and then reboot into safe mode:

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - (no file)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.r...ip/RdxIE601.cab

Now reboot into safe mode and delete this file.

C:\WINNT\system32\vwuuuu.exe

Reboot normally and post the new log.

Went into safe mode & found that kghhhh.exe again - deleted it. Went to C:\WINNT\System32\, but couldn't find vwuuuu.exe??? Double checked settings to make sure that hidden files were visible & searched for "vwuuu.exe" - came up empty. Then rebooted & see that it's back???? I'm confused.

1. OK - Kaspersky Online Antivirus found that:

C:\WINNT\system32\vwuuuu.exe was infected with :
Trojan-Download.Win32.Qologic.d

2. After downloading & running Kaspersky 5.0 personalpro (offline), 14 files were identified as containing one of these viruses:

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Qoologic.d
Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Qoologic.f
TrojanDropper.Win32.Small .kz

3. After completing the recommended "delete" action, 4 files remained that were unable to be deleted ("...in use, sys will try to delete on reboot" message):

C:\Doc&Settings\AllUsers\Start Menu\Program\Startup\khgggg.exe
(Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Qoologic.f)

C:\Doc&Settings\CurrentUsername\install.exe (TrojanDropper.Win32.Small.kz)

C:\WINNT\System32\lcuuuu.dll (Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Qoologic.d)

C:\WINNT\System32.lhuuuu.exe (Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Qoologic.d)

4. Rebooted system in Safe Mode

3 of 4 files already deleted, then manually deleted the install.exe file

5. Rebooted system in Safe Mode

Noted all corrupted files still gone

6. Rebooted system in regular mode, offline

Re-Ran Kaspersky AntiVirus , completed with no viruses.

(NOTE on Step 1. It took a little while to "catch" vwuuuu.exe in action as the file frequently appeared, disappeared and then reappeared in both the process list and the directory, with some? corrolation the appearance of kghhhh.exe. Cleaner4.1 was able to detect changes in the list & sound an alert. As soon as the alarm was reset, it would go off again, alerting another change - the process had disappeared again, etc. Bizarre thing was that I would then note multiple processes of Cleaner4.1 in the list, each time incrementing the total number of Cleaner4.1 processes by one as the vwuuuu.exe process disappeared or killed off. ???? ---Ended up uninstalling Cleaner 4.1 to isolate the environment as much as possible. )

Not sure how much of this is helpful to you and how much is unique to my system or a coincidence in what I observed, but I put it all in here for you to digest.

Everything looks clean right now. I will continue to monitor the system.

Thanks for the assistance!!

Nicely done! Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)
