Ewido and Spysweeper slow Windows XP

I cleaned multiple viruses and worms from my computer and installed SpySweeper and Ewido to keep the machine clean. Now my computer operates at a crawl and takes almost 10 minutes to shut down. I'm using Windows XP. Is there any way to speed things up?

Uninstall them. Seriously.

Ewido, from what I've just Googled, is an internet security suite, so it's doiing the same thing as Spysweeper so the two are fighting with each other.

Its the same thing that happens when you run two virus scanners at the same time.
