What is the best media player to use, right now i have real player, but a friend told me i should get winamp which is better?

winamp is better - much better inasmuch that, unlike realplayer, it doesn't try to take over your whole system, doesn't insist on loading an icon in the system tray, doesn't nag you about updates, and it starts up faster. Oh, and it's easier to use!
