:) Hi this is my first post, and i am a noob when it comes to custom gaming computers. Right now i am running a Dell 4550 w/ a geforce 6600gt 128mb agp V.C. (it overheats sometimes :tazz: ). I have been searching custom computer building sites because im not really interested in goin through the hastle of building a computer from scratch. I have looked at custom computer building sites like viciouspc.com and tigerdirect.com. I find it easy to build a good rig, but i have a limit($1k) since my parents are paying for this. I am sorry for this topic being so general, but it would be greatly appreciated if someone made a suggestion of a rig i could build (i.e. a recomeded site or recommended parts). I want a powerful enough pc to run next gen games (I'M looking forward to playing TES IV: Oblivion so i want a system that could run that).

So far I figured that i want an AMD, at least 512mb RAM, decent cooling system, 2 wd raptor 37.5g hd's, and atleast a 6600gt v.c.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Well ill just give you a quick reply to get you thinking.
Gaming AMD is good you want a venice or sandeigo on the standard athlon 64 range, or an X2 if you have the money(you dont really).
Raptors dont make a big difference anymore there are a couple of standard sata 2 7200rpm drives that actually have faster game load times and they have the huge advantae of lots of space.
You want a gig of ram miminum and you want at least an x800xl or 6800Gs, the 6600GTs are edging towards the low end of the market now especially the 128mb versions.
Cooling, a good case with 1 preferable 2 120mm fans does the trick especailly for AMDs.
And you want a good nf4 motherboard or maybe an ati200 crossfire but you would need to read some reviews on that, i reccomend tomshardwareguide to start with.
