I am new to web building, i have gone through a 10 hour tutorial on dreamweaver mx 2004. What i am trying to do is design a page that has 1 large cell with a BG that contains graphic boxes. I am tyring to use layers to just trace the boxes so that i can just copy and paste text and pictures within the boxes but the problem is that when i resize the window the layers move around. What i want is for the layers to be fixed within the cell so that when i resize it it doesn't move. I have tried just using cells but it gets ugly and sizes aren't as flush to the bg as it would be because i cant move cells around freely like i would layers? Plus i dont want to have too many tables on the page, im assuming it would load slower this way.

here is a picture in dreamweaver with the layer in a cell on on top of a graphic box

Here is a picture when i view it fullsize on a 1024x768 resolution (im assuming it would be worse on a larger screen/resolution)
