Win XP SP1 versus SP1a? [CLOSED]

My PC is plagued with spyware, Trojan, and perhaps virus problems as well. I've read thru the initial procedures, which includes installing Win XP SP1a. If I'm already running XP with SP1, do I still need to install SP1a? Microsoft's site says if you're already using SP1, then SP1a is not recommended. I just want to be correct wtih each of the steps I take toward a cure.

you are fine for now just do Not update to SP2 till your cleaned of the malware and virus you may have,
Post back a fresh log when done please
