Hi all! It's my first time here and I need some help. You see my lil brother tried to fix my computer, but to no avail instead my computer started acting funny. At first Winfixer tried to download itself and my brother tries to get rid of it. I think he was successful on that, but then my brother told me to download SP2 and the next morning my internet explorer would sometimes freeze/crash unless I do the whoe alt+ctrl+delete. Oh and something called Dr. Watson Post Mortem debugger would show up. So I decided to just create a new user account and hopefully after deleting my orginal account it will just go away. But I would like your help. Could you guys check my hijack file to see if I did something wrong or if there is still something in there...say the Winfixer...or some annoying spyware that me and my brother have missed. Please use the following suggestion to help prevent reinfection


Download the following program, For keeping crap off your system to begin with
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster

Keep AD-Aware. and Spybot 1.3 handy, Check them for updates prior to running and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

For an added check run an online virus scan, you can use one of the 2 below,
TrendMicro's HouseCall
ActiveScan

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.
Click Start | Run | type in cleanmgr | OK

Let it scan your system for files to remove.

Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.

Press OK to remove them.


Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here for XP
