Hi,

I've had problems with spyware in the past and a particularly high risk type was decetected on an adaware scan I did recently.

I would have went straight to the other forums (for malware spyware etc) however I cannot get past an error message to create a hijackthis log to post there in order for the experts on spyware to take over.

I am currently using a winxp laptop, but the win98 is for other work - I will type the error message as accurately as I can in the hope that you are able to help me.

EXPLORER caused an exception 03H in module

I am unsure what that means....but I cant get passed it.

It may be that all I need to do is to re-install windows over the top of the existing corrupted file (or whatever is causing the fault) but I don't know how to do that on win98.

Hope to hear from you soon, many thanks for your response and help

does this error occur when you open Internet explorer?

everything that i'm seeing suggests doing a repair of internet explorer

or try to revert to an older version

this is for me..but it may point us in the right direction

Appologies for the late response but this error occurs as soon as I start up the pc - I dont get anywhere all I see is the taskbar at the bottom and this message, plus another message behind this one (now) as I was advised here http://www.geekstogo...=0 to run a program.

However, the problem still remains, I have no access to a cd version of my windows 98 (it is somewhere..but where...thats another question)

Thanks in advance,
