I have run a bunch of spyware tools

ad-aware, spybot, xoftspy, cleanup, ewido, and symantec

still having problems. system starts up normal. I can watch as winlogon starts using more and more memory and cpu. I grabbed process explorer and set the priority of winlogon to the lowest allowing me to continue to use my system, but winlogon continues to consume more and more resources.
