This is my first post on any forum.

I am having trouble removing a spyaxe program that for a while had taken over my computer.
I have found out that the spyaxe company is in trouble for it's illegal distribution of it's program.
It all started when a bubble popped up above the windows update quick launch button, the one down in the right hand corner. It said that my computer required new software from Microsoft that would battle the spyware, malware, trojan,etc.....
I clicked on the information bubble that was there, it looking official and all, and my computer was quickly overwhelmed with "spyaxe." Spyaxe is supposedly an award winning company that is having trouble with affiliates distributing the software illegally. I found a post on the internet which lead me to some .zip files that would remove the "spyaxe" program that was getting me, http://www.computing...orum/16942.html. I downloaded the .zip files and executed them which got rid of almost everything. The only thing that is still on my computer is some windows/system 32 file that makes http://www.syserrors.com/ come up as my homepage when I first open up a web browser. I am afraid that what ever this is maybe a real danger to personal information so my internet time has been reduced to just the on-line college classes that I am currently taking and to looking for an answer to my "spyaxe" problem. I've read that this is a new thing going around. So maybe my Microsoft Beta 1 and Sbc Yahoo Protection software will be update soon to combat this "spyaxe" thing.

Thank You and hope to read some interesting and helpful feedback. :tazz:

I think the problem is solved. After running the .zip files that I found at a link in http://www.computing...orum/16942.html I ran the 15 day trial of Norton Anti-Virus. And presto, my computer is back under my control. Everything is gone that has to do with spayaxe, spytrooper and the syserror.com site. Hope this helps.
