I can't select multiple folders
or files with the ctrl Click option or the shift function under any of
the drives C-F. Only when in MY Documents can I select multiple folders
and files. What do I do? I have looked under folder options and there
is no thing that refers to this option? I have windoes xp home edition
sp2.

do you, by any chance, have a non-default mouse driver installed? I would begin by uninstalling any mouse software in add/remove and then re-installing it.

Also, does this problem manifest it self in safemode?

I cannot select multiple files in safe mode and I have reinstalled the mouse drivers. I can select files in an open folder in my documents.
