i have a 256 ram right now in one slot... so im wondering if i should get another 256 ? i heard that it will be faster if both are the same like 256 and 256 or 512 and 512... and the effect will be bad if one is at 256 and the other is at 512... is that true? so should i just get another 512?

thx

Depends on your motherboard. Do you know the make and model?

btw, since im at this, any recommendations for updates? right now im trying to reduce the lag when im playing the game diablo 2... i normally open up to 8 clients for it, and it lags... i believe my graphic card should not be a problem?

and also, if a 256-512 combination does clash, wad exactly will happen? one of them will get burned?

thx =)

This mobo uses the VIA KM266 chipset. This means there is no dual-channel mode, and no advantage to using paired memory sticks. You can add 256, 512, or any combination of memory you want. :tazz:

Don't buy the cheapest RAM you can find. ;) Stick with brand names, from reputable sources. :tazz:
