I have been trying to convert DivX .avi's to DVD to play them properly on my DVD player (with a menu structure etc.). I have tried several approaches including using TPMGEnc (ok, but the quality is not very good - even when I set the motion precision to very accurate) and also loading the .avi straight into Ulead DVD Software (this gets half way thru converting and says 'operation aborted' )

Can anyone offer any tips on how to convert DivX .avi files to DVD compliant formats (e.g. MPEG2) whilst retaining a decent video quality?

"Sorenson Squeeze 4" might work:

Perhaps adobe premiere can import it, then export it as an avi.
