Hello. My girlfriends computer is shutting down randomly. I have been thinking that there MIGHT be a virus...but im not quite sure because the computer runs fine, well, until it just shuts off.

Should i go through your Pre-post virus scan steps??

thanks for your help.

random shutdowns are often related to heat.

Start by opening the case and cleaning the dust bunnies, also, running a small fan across the case to see if the problem recurs
