I'm trying to install a hydraulic circuit program called "Automation Studio".
it was working properly on windows xp. but when i moved to windows server 2003, i receive error message during installation says that MDAC 2.7 cann't be installed on this version of windows.
bye the way, the program is version 5 and i don't think ther's a new version of this program for windows 2003.
is there any thing that i can do to overcome this, thank you ...

Windows Server uses MDAB 2.8, so you cannot install an older version on top of it.

Is there an advanced installation or custom installation option during setup where you can select NOT to install MDAC?

Since Server has it built in, you should not need it
