one of the checks showed i'm missing that file....
can anyone tell me what does it do?...
cuz my computer is crashing a lot of late (but only when internet is connected)
just wondering if theres' any connections

Hi Kako!

Do you have your XP CD handy?

If so, place it in your CD ROM drive and follow the instructions below:

Go to START-->RUN and type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and /scannow)
Once the blue bar goes away, reboot your computer.

SFC - System File Checker, retrieves the correct version of the file from %Systemroot%\System32\Dllcache or the Windows installation source files, and then replaces the incorrect file.

If you want to see what was replaced, right-click MY COMPUTER, and select MANAGE. Click the '+' symbol next to EVENT VIEWER under the SYSTEM TOOLS heading, and then select SYSTEM and you will see what files were replaced by SFC.
