Well.. why not go ahead and try things with geocities ( www.geocities.com ), until you understand how websites work, then just move onto bravenet ( www.bravehost.com )
Bravenet helps you with everything, and it's free, and comes with an FTP account, and such.. you can really learn to set up your server and such...

Those products have to be bought, and I think we should find a free solution to this problem. There isn't a free download that I found.. it was only free for a 30-day trial...

I have been using this product for the last 4 years and I downloaded it for free. Maybe it is not available now. Haven't checked lately.

uhm.. it doesnt work like that... it doesnt just get on the web... you need to put it up...
You upload your pages at the FTP Sites and then depending on what FTP you use, the address will vary...
Maybe tell us what FTP Site you're using, so we can help you out?

Ok. Looks like you are new to Website buidling and publishing.
First create your home page and name it as index.htm (assuming it is a html site). And if your url is www.oupa.com, then typing this url on the browser, your index page will appear. You should provide links to all other pages from your Index page.
If it is a free site then your URL would be something like this http://oupa.freehostprovider.com. Usually you dont require a ftp for free sites because you can straigtaway upload to your files to your folder in their server.
Hope this helps.

You can get a domain at http://www.domaindirect.com
And also, what is your site going to be called?
How about including the url in your signiture?
