Folks I have spent the better part of a day trying to get this blasted thing off of my wife's PC. I have used nearly every utility out there and even my trusty SpySweeper ain't touching this thing. Here is the log from her PC and I would appreciate any help you folks can provide!

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.

Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Every time I attempt to run Vundo it goes all the way through it automatically, opens Hijack This and then terminates the DOS program. Making it impossible for me to follow the steps.

We are going to boot in DOS
Click the Start button
Select Shut Down
Select Restart the computer in MS-DOS mode
Click the Yes button

When in DOS...

Type:

del C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MLLII.DLL

Then, hit Enter.

Make sure it is entered exactly as above!

Then please reboot your computer into normal mode. Run HijackThis. Place a check next to the following item and click FIX CHECKED:

O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {FC148228-87E1-4D00-AC06-58DCAA52A4D1} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MLLII.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [*MLLII] rundll32.exe

Then follow through with the rest of the steps.

Rescan with HiJackThis and post a new log please.

sorry, been a while since i used ME fogot about that, you will need to reboot your computer, tap F8 choose start with command. you may want to print the previous instuctions out so you have the file name properly spelled.

Still waiting for ActiveScan to complete. It's having some issues, but it did find two instances of spyware before it locked up. :-(
