yes,
I need my old computer but I can't get it to read the cd rom or do any thing for that matter.
I have a window open with bootdisk.com on it, what next?

Thanks,
like I said I am using dial up, it's downloading at 2.49kb/sec so it will take a min.

I'll try to give you enough instructions to get through this one step at a time...if you have a question about anything, just ask. There's no such thing as a stupid question here.

Got a floppy disk handy? Double click on the file and put the floppy in the drive when prompted to do so. That will create the disk for you.

Somthing is wrong with my A drive the screen went white and then a window came up and said system not responding. so I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then clicked on the name of this window to get back here. now I dont have any thing at the bottom of my screen. the clock, start button and the blue band is missing its just black. can I use the other comupter to format the disk. and if i get disconected when i reboot I log back in as quick as i can.
