Right click on My Computer and choose Explore. Do you see two hard drives listed in there?

the diagram on the site shows no jumpers on the Hd but earlyer today i hooked it up to this computer and I had 2 Hd's and I formated it. I right clicked it and clicked format then fat32 system and then format. I dis connected the hd and put it back on the win98 machine and it did nothing, then I re-read your post and saw that it needed a special program. the original positions for the jumpers arn't on their diagram it was a backward seven on the left side

xxxoo
xoooo

Kind of like that x is the jumper.

It's already been formatted??? Good job!

Put the jumpers back the way you had them when you formatted the drive earlier and let's see if the machine sees the drive. Be sure to power down and unplug before doing this.

Put it back into the XP machine with the jumpers just the way you had them when you formatted it. The way it was when the XP machine detected it.
