Internal and external drives "not formatted"

Initially after loading Nero, my D and E drives wouldn't read, then dropped off the My Computer list. I followed your advice as posted to Cooldude "Major Computer problem" and they re-appeared, but neither they nor the floppy drive, nor an external camera connection now are recognised when loaded--all I get is "not formatted" description. Please help!
